Armydiller's Music

Say, dudes. This is my self portrait. Thank God for Photoshop, eh? Heh.

I'm Paula K. Lynch of Los Angeles, CA. I sporadically produce Celtic, classical, and world music, rock variations on those, and some funny/stupid parodies as well. I run several web pages on Armydiller.com devoted to promoting other bands in these genres. I grew up in Scotland and Texas--this explains my logo, the "armydiller" (armadillo) playing bagpipes.

Some free downloads are at the bottom of the page.

Most songs are available for purchase on my SoundClick home page as well as on my Lulu.com home page for about 99 cents each.
MOST TRACKS BELOW AND THEN SOME (INCLUDING FREEBIES!) ARE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ON MY LULU.COM HOME PAGE.

CELTIC

Some traditional, some Celtic rock. All instrumental.

Play Clip Description
The Irish Washerwoman. My Celtic rock interpretation of the Irish classic. You know it -- play it!
The Boatman (Fhir A Bhata). Scottish traditional about a woman's painful wait for her lover to return from sea. Instrumental.
The Stolen Child. Original song inspired by the Yeats poem of the same name. Haunting tune on Celtic harp, oboe, bassoon, strings, guitar.
The Galtee Hunt. My spin on the Irish traditional. Short track.
Scotland the Brave (Haggis Cut). Short and sweet.
Jig of Slurs. Misnamed. Oh well. My sister informed me that my version of this traditional song is nice, but "Jig of Slurs" is another song entirely. Got my titles mixed up. Anyway, this is a Celtic rock version of it. An old track.
Blackjack Davy. My sick rocked-out version. :)
Harp Attack. Celtic harp stars. Short track.
Water Under The Keel. Another rock-ish interpretation of a traditional piece. A tallship cuts through the waves and fires a few broadsides! Electric fiddles & guitars, blazing bodhrans... you'll like. 320 kbps -- high quality sound. Sound fx and this picture courtesy of "HMS" Rose ("she" played the HMS Surprise in the movie "Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World").

CLASSICAL

I have a thing for ruining classical pieces. Oh yes, I do.

Play Clip Description

Bach Double Guitar Concerto. Bach's "Double Violin Concerto" on... ELECTRIC GUITARS! Oh the humanity.

Pachelbel's Canon in Hell (Cheese Mix). A rock version. Was very popular on MP3.com back in the day. Oh the humanity.

Violince. Classical rock! A violent violin.
Baroke! My first attempt at a movement-based classical piece. What's up with the title? If it ain't baroke, don't... blah.
The Hallelujah Chorus (Cheese Mix). Handel's Hallelujah Chorus on a rocked-out reggae beat thingo. An old track.
Harp Attack. Celtic harp, accompanied by strings & woodwinds. Short track.

OTHER CRAP

Description
  Mecca. Middle Eastern rock-type thingo.
Chicken Train. The sordid tale of a sinister "Chicken Train" that haunts the backwoods of Tennessee. A rare glimpse of my singing voice. Lyrics.
The Auctioneer. The sad, yet hysterical, story of how I went broke. Done country ballad style. Think Ray Stevens. WARNING: Mild *bleeped* profanity.
I Was Happy-Assed! This song is just so... HAPPY-ASSED! Instrumental.
Osama Bites (O Holy Night). Former MP3.com artist Lorin Swelk and I butchered "O Holy Night". I provided the "virgins". Heh. WARNING: Mild profanity. Lyrics.

(CELTIC) Newfoundland (Cover). Free cover track, mini demo version (less complete than original artist Liam O'Flynn's recording, which you should buy here anyway if you really like the song). This track is more of a thought, really, but it's a truly beautiful tune on bagpipes. O'Flynn's version is done on the more beautiful Uilleann pipes.

(CELTIC) My Heart Will Go On (Cover). Free cover track, mini demo version. My relatively faithful instrumental cover version of the Celine Dion blockbuster. Get the real one by Celine here.

(BIG BAND) A Swingin' Safari (Cover). Big-band jazz fun. This is my cover version of the original (by Billy Vaughn -- his CD is here).

(STUPID!) Piper Doon! (Cover). A piper is down. I repeat, a piper is down. Quick download worth a giggle. Listed as a "Cover" since I borrowed sound clips; One is Mike Myers from "So I Married An Axe Murderer", and I'll be damned if I can recall who played the bagpipes in the other clip.

ATTN FORMER MP3.COM ARTISTS: I put together a list of other OMDs (music hosting services) for you to think about here. I regret I am not really maintaining the list anymore but it may still be of use to you.

Legal crap: Paula K. Lynch owns copyrights on all material not noted with "Cover". Copyrighted material may not be reproduced in any form without permission of author. By stealing my music, you agree to have your nads slow-roasted over a large bonfire. Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball.

Is there a broken link? Any questions?

I drew me own logo! Yeehaw!
